Perception of health and education professionals on the School Health Program

ABSTRACT This article consists of a case study that aimed to identify health and education professionals’ perceptions the School Health Program (PSE) actions in suburban territory Baixada Santista, São Paulo. Three educational counselors from two schools, PSE articulator, therapeutic companion, psychologist, nurses, community worker were interviewed. The transcribed interviews submitted lexographic analysis descending hierarchical classification software IRaMuTeQ-R. They later analyzed based on theoretical references PSE, school health, intersectoriality. results showed focus matrix support meeting, referrals, vaccination verification, oral eye health. inadequate continuing training, poor knowledge policy, overwork compromise full consideration program’s objectives, which, traversed by pandemic, escalated challenges faced professionals. There is potential be explored meeting education. However, involving these sectors, traditional management rationale, biological approach, social participation should overcome advance towards intersectoral proposals promote well-being.
